From your spreadsheet, simply select Insert > Gadget .
Then, the Add a Gadget window appears, where you can select gadgets in a number of categories, including charts, tables, and maps.
Click Add to your spreadsheet to insert a gadget.
Using Google Spreadsheets to access Forms
Even if you rarely use spreadsheets, you probably will want to know how to read the data that you can collect by creating surveys, questionnaires, and forms in Google Forms. Be sure you are logged into your Google account and in your Documents area.
Go to "create new" > form
Create a form asking for some specific information from your faculty or from students--it can be a survey, questionnaire or even a quiz--have at least 10 fields.
Select a theme for your form.
Find the URL of your survey at the bottom of the form window and email it to four of your colleagues in this workshop. Everyone should then access their email and answer the survey.
Access the form that will now appear in your Google Docs area. Your returned data appears here in a spreadsheet.
